This luxurious, velvety cocktail is the perfect balance of sweet & sour with an indulgent twist which makes it a true party treat.
Ingredients (makes 1 cocktail)
50ml Cambridge Dry Gin
10ml Pink grapefruit juice
10ml Lime juice
25ml Vanilla syrup
30ml Double cream
1 egg white or 15ml pasteurised egg white
Soda water (to top up)
Nutmeg (grated, for garnish)
Ice
Method
Add all of the ingredients except the soda water, egg & nutmeg to a cocktail shaker & shake hard for about 15 seconds. Strain & pour back into the cocktail shaker, without ice. Add 15ml pasteurised egg white or one whole egg white to the shaker & dry shake vigorously for a few minutes.
Strain over ice into a Collins glass & leave to settle for a minute or so before topping up with soda. Garnish with some grated nutmeg & serve.
