We’ve been busy working with The Guardian over the last few months to collaborate on a new series of cookery school classes with the Waitrose Cookery School at King’s Cross. We’re delighted to be able to announce that the series will launch with three Project Taste names, who will be offering exclusive sessions at the school in the autumn.
The series will launch with all round vegan & street food guru, Jackie Kearney on 21st October. Jackie’s first book, Vegan Street Food was a runaway success & she’s back with book two, which launches on 17th October. In her class, Jackie will show how to make some of the recipes from her new book, My Vegan Travels, which takes inspiration from her travels & something we all need, comfort food. Next up is the wonderful food writer & cook Rosie Birkett on 7th November. Rosie’s passion when it comes to food is cooking seasonally – in her class, she will explain what’s in season & how to maximise ingredients when they are in season & to get the most flavour from them. Rosie is also a keen forager, so will also be giving some simple hints & tips on what you might be able to find right on your doorstep. To finish this current series, Tim Anderson will be taking to the stoves to demonstrate how to create a Japanese store cupboard & cook dishes from his new book, Japaneasy. Tim’s class will take place on 28th November, and in just a couple of hours, he’ll explain how to get into cooking Japanese food at home & that the ingredients don’t have to be obscure in order to achieve Japanese dishes you thought you couldn’t ever tackle.
